Woofie Fine Pet Products Visits Pet Orphans Rescue

Representatives from Woofie Fine Pet Products spent a few hours with the volunteers at Pet Orphans playing with, petting and Grooming some happy pets, which are available for adoption.

Pet  downloadShedding Dog Orphans is a non profit organization which rescues animals from overcrowded and high kill shelters in southern California and cares for them until they find an adopted family and get a new home.This organization is always willing to have volunteers from the community come and help care for, and socialize, their dogs and cats as they transition from life in a shelter to being ready for a forever home. The care and cleaning of these orphan pets is important to well being of these animals and vital in keeping them presentable for adoption.

Woofie Fine Pet Products is the maker of the Woofie Wand, a stainless steel deshedding and grooming comb for dogs and cats. The company is proud to support Pet Orphans. Their contingent was toured through the facility and had an opportunity to use their Woofie Wand on several of the pets. "We loved grooming and playing with Savannah, a four year old German Shepherd," stated Tom Taglang SVP of Sales & Marketing for Woofie. "She was such a sweet dog and she seemed to love being groomed."

Matthew, the volunteer representative from Pet Orphans explained that Savannah is a sweet and gentle dog who is available for adoption. According to Matthew, "She is great with children but isn't great with other dogs so she needs to be the only pet."

The Woofie gang also spent with Buddy, a two-year-old pit bull, who was full of energy and loved to play with anyone. " I had my kids with me and they loved Buddy but they were a little afraid at first," Taglang said. "I understand why, he is 75 pounds of pure muscle running at full speed at you then when he rubs against your legs he nearly knocks you down. They loved it"

Before they left the facility they stopped by the grooming facility where the general public can bring their pets to get groomed. They presented the Pet Orphans staff with a free Woofie Wand and vowed to come back on a regular basis and use it to help other dogs and cats.
